Spoof e-mail

I have just received an e-mail with the subject heading of "Lift your Restriction" which for a moment I thought might be genuine. It stated that someone had used my account from a different location and basically that my security was at risk & I should click on a link (which I didn't do) to provide my security and personal details. Obviously I didn't do this but for people new to Paypal or Ebay or even to computers DO BE CAREFUL & DON''T GIVE OUT ANY DETAILS EVER UNLESS YOU ARE ON THE GENUINE PAYPAL ACCOUNT. I have reported this e-mail to paypal and will be forwarding it to them.

Take Care everyone and be vigilant!

Hi there, I received the exact same email this morning and like was instantly suspicious. There's no way I would have clicked on the link but the funny thing is that on my Paypal homepage I have got a message saying that I am using an old browser that could have securiy issues and to update it. There's an update button there but you can also check to see if you are up to date.I have checked and I am and it even says thanks you are using the most up to date version (internet explorer 😎 so I don't understand why this message is still there?

I had the same email - but did click on the link (stupid me)

It tried to take me to asplil.co.uk - but the page was not found.

I then put a block on the email and it came back as   @paypla.com  (can't post the full name)

Be watchful
