Should I mail my item out? Please help!!

This is the email I received from paypal:

I'm not sure if i should mail out my iphone to this person, because I do not see any record of money being transferred to me via paypal on my paypal account. This is my first time using paypal please help!

Once you have shipped the item send us the shipment tracking number for verification after the number has verify your account will be credited instantly.This PayPal® payment has been deducted from the buyer's account and has been "APPROVED" but will not be credited to your account until the shipment reference/tracking number is sent to us for shipment verification so as to secure both the buyer and the seller. Below are the necessary information requested before your account will be credited. Send tracking number to us or email us through this mail customer consultant dept @usa . com

THIS IS A TYPICAL PAYPAL SCAM.

They encourage you to use paypal and often ask you to open a paypal account.

They also are often international somewhere often Nigeria for eg.

You will get/got a "fake" email that looks as though it is from paypal.....it isn't.

It will say the buyer has paid ...you won't have been paid.

They will tell you that the payment is released when you provide paypal with a tracking/shipping number......this won't happen.

They also threaten legal action...have a laugh at that one and ignore it as its rubbish.

Paypal NEVER tell you to send an item before the payment is showing in your paypal account.

Paypal do not tell you to send trackable, they advise it for selling protection but it is not compulsory.

Also paypal emails address you by your full name eg Dear John Smith.

Delete any emails and ignore the scammers.
