The samething nearly happened to me when I placed an advert for my car and guy named above Josh Wartner emailed me saying he liked it from what he saw and wanted to surprise his daughter with it but being he was away in the navy (how low can you get right?) he would arrange to send it via paypal which I had never used before. Nonetheless the next day I got an email he credited more than the asking price to cover the costs of sending a delivery payment via western union to an address in Nigeria. He even was pushing me to go ahead and said not to show western union the message.
After queying it with western union and Paypal the email notifications supposedly from paypal turned out to be fake. I sure told him where to go after that! Guys whenever in doubt and you are asked to declare details or send payments just call paypal.

Have a look at the "access and security" section of this board and you will see loads of threads about this "Nigerian Scam".
They don't want your car or boat etc all they want is that western union payment for their so called shipping agent that they are going to scam you of.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
