PayPal forcing me to add a credit card, but I've already added a bank account

So, I've had this account for over a year now and I never had any problems with it. But suddenly, about 2 weeks ago, I started to get an error message every time I tried to make a payment. (Error 3005). Now that is finally fixed, but now I can't make any payments because PayPal is now forcing me to add a credit card.
I've had a bank account added to my account for a long time now, but I'm stuck now. Does anybody have a solution for this?

Could well be that because of that error you had refused payments via your bank account so paypal have removed your option to use your bank account.
You need to get advice from customer services first and they may well tell you that you will have to remove and then re-add your bank account, but don't do so until you have checked with them first.
Click on the words "Contact" at the bottom of your paypal account summary page and use the phone option (if there is one in the country you are in) > click on the "call us" option on the left (fees "may" apply so check the cost with your phone tariff first, as you sometimes have to wait a while to connect).
When you get through don't select any options just hang on till you get transfered to an agent or say the word "agent".

@kernowlass Well, tried that. It turned out they couldn't help me. The 3005 error came back, but they don't know what to do with that error. So yeah, anyone have another way I can get my paypal account up and running again?

So, I made a new paypal account, added the bank account on there and got the same error. So yeah, paypal have blocked my bank number or something?
