So i've been using paypal for a few years now. When i first started using paypal i used my step fathers paypal account which had the same email as my ebay account did. Eventually i made my own paypal account with a different email adress and have used it for a while now. I have just run into a problem. I sold something on ebay but by mistake the old email adress was put into the payment option in the listing so the buyer has sent it to the old paypal account. Neither me or my stepfather have touched it in years. We have forgotten the password have tried every possible security answer and he has changed all his bank and phone details. There is literally no way to acess the old account to cancel the transaction so i can tell the buyer to send the payment to my current adress. I have called up paypal many times but they keep asking for bank and phone number details on the old account which i have no clue of, all i know is the email adress, and the name on the account. The buyer is getting impatient and i've emailed paypal and they have told me to ring them up. It's just seems like i'm going in circles. If anyone knows how i can either gain acess to the old account to cancel the transaction or simply close the account which in turn i would assume would cancelall pendng transactions, i would be really greatful.
