Hello. I have had money taken from my paypal account. It totals nearly £1000.00. I opened up a dispute because this payment had not been authorised by me but they have concluded it was NOT FRAUD. They say it was in agreement to a contract.
It says it is for ebay fees, but I have not been selling?.... I have checked my ebay account and it is not showing up in the account.
I used to have another account which I have not used for about 6years. This account was linked into paypal (which is what ebay want)... The strange thing is I had a funny phone call about a month or two ago. He said he was from Germany and he said he got some crystals from my ebay shop. I said NO because I had not sold anything. I quickly put the phone down because I believed it to be a dodgy phone call. I am now wondering if this is perhaps linked to this missing money? We have been getting a few calls from people, insurrance companies saying we have been envolved in an accident which is incorrect.
I am really worried now. I have now changed my paypal password and ebay password. I also took off my old e-mail address (which was what was used for the old ebay account) and put in a new one on paypal so at least I know I am getting the emails now.
I really dont know what to do because they Paypal are saying it is not a case of unauthorised payments (BUT IT IS).... please help, I dont know what to do.
I never thought to do this but do you think I need to contact the police and explain all of this to them too?
