Debit card and verified by visa

Hi ,

I recently added by debit card to the paypal system. I also purchased a product in ebay using paypal (linked to my debit card). 

My question is during purchase , it never asked me for verified by visa password. Actually my debit card is configured with verified by visa service .

Can some one tell my verified by visa was not invoked during purchase transaction using paypal.

Verified by Visa is not always used, it depends on the individual store or seller as they must be participating member.  You can learn quite a bit from the Verified by Visa FAQs.

Thanks a lot for the reply.

My assumption was that paypal being a big corporate verfied by visa should be present. Its just a extra security to protect individual's card .
