I'm a bit confused about Paypal's charging structure. I recently sold an item to someone in New Zealand (I'm in the UK) for £25, with the P&P, the total amount paid to me was £44. From this amount, I was deducted £2.58 in fees. Now if the stated charges are at the rate of 3.4% +20p, that should work out at £1.70. So why have I been charged an extra 88p?

Cross border fees apply for international transactions.
You can read up on fees by going to legal (very bottom of this page) > user agreement > fees.
