10,000 competition scam?

Hey everyone!

I am having a real problem recently with phishing emails. They are getting REALLY good at this. I just got an email from "Paypal " speaking of a 10k competition. So I googled it and can't find anything solid, and nothing on the Paypal website. Is it real? ( Never heard of a competition on Paypal too so I'm about 90% certain its not! )

Thanks everyone.

Hi Gee1989,

Welcome to the community forum and thanks for posting about this competition.

I can understand your concern here because we don't usually ask you to click on links but this is a real competition we are running.

You will know that you are on the real PayPal website because you will see the lock symbol in the address bar showing PayPal, Inc. Once you see that you are fine to login and opt in to the competition.
