Hello

Ten days ago I bought an item on ebay, paid immediately with paypal and after two days seller shipped my item with provided tracking number. Everything looked good.

But on third day after purchase I saw that seller was removed from ebay. In that moment I realized that it was probably scam.

So the thing is, tracking number which seller gave me does not exist (he "send" it through china post), so basically even tracking number is fake.

So what should I do? Wait? Open a case in paypal? Open a case in ebay?

This is my first trouble with ebay/paypal ever, so I am confused.

Thank you

Hi Oklep,

In this situation, I would recommend opening a dispute with eBay. You can do so by following these steps:

  1. Go to www.eBay.com and log in to your account.
  2. Select ‘Customer Support' near the top of the page.
  3. Click ‘Resolution Center.’
  4. Follow the instructions to open a dispute.

Transactions must be disputed within 45 days of the original purchase date. Also, you can only dispute a transaction once. If you open a dispute in the eBay Resolution Center, you can't open a dispute for the same item in the PayPal Resolution Center.

If eBay is able to determine that the item wasn't successfully delivered to you (the buyer), then they would refund the full cost of the item and original shipping via PayPal.
