I have less than 50 cents on my Walmart money card and I have it linked with my PayPal. If I buy an item on eBay that costs more than what I have on the card, I know I'll have a negative balance. But can I just click Pay Now and load the money on the card later, or will PayPal call it a failed transaction? Or something else?

Hi iKoffeeholic,
Welcome to the PayPal Community Forums!
That's a good question. In this case it will depend on the policies of the card issuer. Likely the card issuer will decline the payment since the amount would be more than the available balance on the card.
I recommend contacting Walmart for more information regarding their policies. If it's anything like my previous experiences with gift cards you will probably have to request a paper check be issued for the remaining balance since it's so low.
