Transfering

Hello, I have a question and i'm just wondering.
I'm under the age of 18. I'm 16 & paypal is the only online payment place i trust.
I have a friend who's sending me money soon & i'm wondering if since i'm under 18 and that i'm only 16 if i could transfer that to my bank checking account (which is linked, including my card).
Since there is a age limit to add money to paypal i was wondering if it'd be the same as trasnferring money to my bank account. If anyone could respond asap that'd be great.

Hi @Vyal,

Thank you for posting in the community!

I'm sorry that there is any confusion regarding the ability to use PayPal. I'd be happy to clarify. The use of PayPal is not permitted in any form until the age of 18. Opening an account before turning 18 is against the PayPal User Agreement, which can be found by clicking Legal at the bottom of any PayPal page. If your account is not currently limited, please close it at the earliest possible opportunity, to prevent any complications. If the account is limited, you can contact PayPal once you turn 18 for instructions regarding opening an account that complies with the User Agreement.

I hope this helps!

Olivia
