Linking bank account

I am trying to link my bank account and it is asking for a user name and password so I put in my paypal name and password and it is rejecting it. Where do I get said username and password?

if you want to link a bank to your paypal account,you log into your paypal account with your paypal email addr and password and follow instructions on how to link a bank account

After further research it seems they want my online banking information which I don't do online banking so I don't have a password or Username. Thanks for the effort!

I just DO NOT want PayPal to have my bank account or credit card.

I just want to use my PayPal positive balance to make purchases.

This issue should not be obligatory!

I think it is unconstitutional to force me to provide information that I do not want!
