Hi @Maemara2,
Welcome to the Forums!
I'm happy to point you in the right direction for creating a mobile PIN. Before creating a mobile PIN, you'll want to add and confirm your mobile number:
Here's how to add your mobile phone number:
- Log in to your PayPal account.
- Click the Settings icon next to "Log out."
- Click the plus sign (+) beside "Phone".
- Enter the phone number and check the box beside "Make this my primary phone" if this is your primary phone number.
- Click Add Number.
- Click Confirm Code.
Once you receive the confirmation code:
- Click the Settings icon next to "Log out."
- Click Confirm beside the phone number.
- Enter the confirmation code and click Validate.
After your mobile number is confirmed, you'll be able to set up the mobile PIN:
- Log in to your PayPal account.
- Click the Settings icon next to "Log out."
- Click Security near the top of the page.
- Click Create or Revise next to "Mobile PIN."
- Enter your current password.
- Create or change your PIN and click Add or change PIN.
I hope this helps! 🙂

Help! When I click on security, there is no option for "mobile pin". My mobile number is already linked. I tried to go through the steps you listed from the very beginning, but I do not get an option to "confirm code".
I tried to pay at a merchant yesterday, for the first time, and it asked for a pin. I don't have a pin!! I can pay online and I can transfer money to my bank, and I have done so for 7+ years from this very account. I've tried EVERYTHING I can find to establish (or even find) a pin. HELP!
Thank you kindly!
