Error occurring when trying to link bank and verify account! HELP

I received some money from a friend, but I couldn't accept it until I verified. So, I tried to link a bank and verify it but every time I click continue after entering the information I get an " An error has occurred please try again later. " message. I don't know what to do! This has been frustrating me!

You may want to contact customer support for assistance.   You can do that by clicking on the Help link, on the next screen, click on Contact Customer Support, from there you can phone.

 

You can also try deleting your web browser's cookies, temp files, history and cache, then close the browser, reopen and retry what you were doing.   Another option is to try a different web browser.   If you still have the same issue, they you may want to call customer support.

 

Note:

Common issues you might encounter when linking a bank account:
* The bank account must be a U.S. bank.
* The bank account can’t be linked to more than one account at a time.
* The bank account can't be linked if it has already been linked to 3 previous PayPal accounts.
* The name on the bank account must match the name on the PayPal account.

PayPal can confirm accounts from most banks and credit unions however, there are some banks that are not compatible with PayPal, including most online only or prepaid bank accounts.
