Can't change phone number

Hello, i lost my old phone number it closed, i want to remove my old phone number and add my new phone number in my account paypal.. but how ? please help me !

when i want to change the phone number it's say : You must have a confirmed mobile phone.

How can i fix that's problem ?

I had the same problem for future users looking at this add your new number and the ability to remove your old/unconfirmed number will pop-up

Although this is nowhere stated on the updating page you must enter your phone number with NO spaces. Such a simple thing for a developer to point out when rejecting one's number as invalid. Pity simplicity is in such short supply.

Hello  i did enter my number without spaces and the new number i can see on my profile  but there s no button to remove the old one now when i try to send a sms it will send it to the old number not the new one and there is no way to select the new one

so please explain me step by step how to remove the old number because after trying everything i can not seem to fix it and after serveral email no help from paypal
