Quicken for Mac not able to connect to my account nor get download via QFX

Using Quicken 2015 and Quicken Essentials on the Mac. Trying to set up Paypal for several months now but no success. I reviewed the prior post (2011) and have written PayPal several times. I have 2 problems with PayPal.
First, they do not support downloading activity in the QFX format. As mentioned have written several times over the past year and no response as to why it is not supported.
Second, I have tried Direct Connect from within Quicken. Most every time I try to set up the account I get a message indicating either email or password invalid. This is not the case as I am using the exact login information I use to access PayPal via the browser. I have actually, on a few occassions, gotten past that error message and was at a point where Quicken was indicating that it was connecting to PayPal and attempting to download the information. After several minutes, I receive a time out message and am back at square one. Has anyone had any luck connecting with PayPal via Quciken on the Mac and if so, what steps did you take?
