Living between two countries - how can i add both an american and a UK card?

Hi all,

I think I'm being a bit dim here, but I had a bit of a struggle. I currently have my UK card tied into my paypal (which I want to retain as I use this to send things to my grandmother in England), but I am in the USA for this year. I tried to add my USA card but it wouldn't recognise it as American. I want to be able to use PayPal over here as well.

Do I need two separate accounts or is there a better way to do this?

Paypal is country specific so if you move country you have to open another paypal account in that country and add an address / phone number / and bank accounts from within that country.

The only exception is U.S users can add their bank accounts to other countries paypal accounts.
