Cannot close account due to outstanding payments

Hi all,
I'm trying to close my PayPal account, but every time I try to do this I get a message saying:
"This account cannot be closed at this time because there are outstanding payment authorizations. Please try again after the authorizations have been settled or voided."
All of the transactions on my account are listed as competeted, so I'm not sure what the problem is. Does anyone here know?

They may be marked as completed but that is because paypal credit the seller in advance for you and then paypal take the wait for your funds to transfer to paypal.
So if you did some recent transactions that could be why.
Also do you have any scheduled payments you have not cancelled?
Here’s how to cancel a subscription or recurring payment:
Paypal summary page > profile (spanner looking icon next to log out) > bottom right paypal settings > pre-approved payments.
Advice is voluntary.

I canceled all of my preappoved payments, but I am still unable to close my account.
It's been a whole month since I've made any transactions using this account.

Personally, I don't feel very safe using PayPal so I would like to get this account closed as soon as possible. I also can't delete my payment options from my account for this same reason.
