I've reviewed a similar question for PayPal but it was back in 2010: I want to have email notifications of our PayPal transactions from sales, disputes, etc. sent to our email address setup for handling customer service issues and invoice activity. I setup a secondary email address in my profile but could not find any documentation explaining exactly what it represents or how it's used in PayPal?
It appears that if I attempt to change the current primary email to the newly added secondary email it wants to change all notification currently going to my primary email which is linked to logging onto the account and bank related activity. I just want our customer service email to also receive notifications of account activity for appropriate response . Any help or clarification would be greatly appreciated, I got to believe more businesses require a similar scenario.
Regards
Aries

Unfortunately there's no option to do what you want. You would think there should be, guess PayPal does not want to be accused of having spam features. You can have up to 8 email addresses associated with your account however, only 1 can be the primary. The primary address is the one that you login to your account with and it also receives the PayPal email notifications. The other 7 are available for receiving funds that would be sent by others to that particular address. The work around that I have seen was to have the email notifications forwarded to other addresses, but that depends on what features your email system has.

It's not something you have to setup as it's part of the system. PayPal uses your Primary email address for the notifications. What you do want to ensure that in your Profile, there are a few boxes checked. They are normally by default however, you should make sure.
Profile
My Settings
Notifications - click Update
Look at Payment Notifications - check all the boxes if they are not already checked.
If there's anything else you need to change - do it
