Accidentally made a typo in initial setup email address

Hi, I setup my first paypal account tonight as I wanted to purchase something off Ebay safely. I went through the registration etc etc and didn't receive a confirmation email, found it odd but disregarded it. I went ahead and made my purchase on Ebay. Later on whilst going through Paypal information I realised I had made a typo in my email address I had setup with and had missed a letter. I quickly went to my emails...made my correct email address the primary email address and removed the incorrect one. My question is as the confirmation email was sent to a complete stranger, although it's not the primary one...do they have all of my personal information and accessibility to my account and card details!?!?!? Can they easily click the confirmation link and change everything? Please help 😞 Katie

Assuming you have a strong password, should not be a problem.  Strong passwords are a combination of letter, numbers, upper and lower case and special characters.

You need to login to change a password.  The email link requires a login.

So if my password is semi difficult and my security questions are good, I should be ok? If I bought something on Ebay before changing the primary email address would a paypal receipt of the transaction been sent to them?
