ADDING PRICE RANGE TO SHOPPING CART

I would like to include a price range so the total amount charged to a buyer is based on a range of selections and not the individual prices.  Here is an example of what I am referring to:

1 - 5 items = $3.50 each

6 - 15 items = $3.00 each

16 - 25 items = $2.50 each

26 items and over = $2.00 each.

So I need the customer to be able to change quantities and be billed based on the range of prices.

There is a similar range choice for shipping and I want to be able to apply the same option for items.

Can anyone help me? I have called PayPal numerous times. What the heck happened to their Customer Support. It used to be so good but no one could give me an answer to this or point me in a direction to find the information. The answer was always the same. You need a website developer. Well guess what? That's me.

That sounds like a button thing. Have you tried talking to their Product and Site team? I imagine you have, given what you're looking for, I'm just asking as a way to (maybe) point you in a proper direction if you haven't already spoken to them.

Thank you for responding. You mention Product and Site team, is there a different number for them than the usual PayPal number? When I call and they ask what you need help with I always say technical help. Maybe I am not getting to the right department.

I have tried and tried to get PayPal on the phone to ask for help and I gave up. What happened to their customer service? It used to be so good. I got one person on the phone who couldn't understand what I was trying to explain. I said I'm looking for the same type of option there is for shipping where you choose a range of prices to determine the shipping price. She kept telling me there is a shipping button for that!!! Then someone else told me I need a developer but couldn't tell me where I could find a developer or who else I could speak to. I am so frustrated because I am going in circles.

They function off the same number, however they have a different set of duties than the technical help team would. Product and Site (Support) help with a handful of more business oriented options such as PayPal Here, banners and ads, certain shipping things, and buttons that you use to check out with as well, so they may have an idea how to help you. When you call in, try saying "Buttons" or "PayPal Buttons." and see if that gives you somewhere different. If not, when you do get someone, you can always say you're looking for some help with buttons on your website and that should clue them in on where to get you.
