global shipping no address from buyer

a buyer bought from me and paid thru paypal, there was no address from buyer either confirmed or unconfirmed...ebay did have his gsp for me to send the item to him. now if paypal has no address with payment confirmation..it states i the seller am not covered under paypal seller protection program..is this normal or what should i do> thanks jackie

There is a thread now on this forum,someone was scammed $33k ,shipping to an address given by the buyer.

The buyer left his shipping address blank in his paypal account,when he made payment,he entered an address in the comment/note section and ask the seller to use that address/

Seller called Paypal and the rep said it is safe to ship,so she did.

a dispute of item not received cometh and she lost,as Paypal robot took her tracking number and compared with blank blank address of the buyer Paypal account,of course it does not match,so she lost the dispute,tried appealing 3 times and still lost.

GSP-EBAY Infamous global shipping program.

GSP needs his address in order to ship.

if this is an Ebay transaction,your buyer would be paying twice,one to you for domestic shipping and the item,and another payment goes to GSP for intl shipment,customs duty and handling fee.

I dont know enough if it is possible to leave shipping blank with you and a valid shipping address with GSP,I would ask the buyer to resent the payment with address,but first you must refund him this payment.

Ebay also offers seller protection but it expects you to ship to a valid shipping address.

with GSP,ebay seller is protected for item not received if she can show it has been shipped to GSP,Erlanger,Kentucky with tracking showing it has been delivered/

GSP relies on thrid party shipper in ERLINGER Kentucky to repack,label,and ship overseas,but customer service is poor,there are questions of Paypal dispute,who gets hit,you or GSP and chargeback,who gets hits,you or GSP,I would say it would be you since you accept the Paypal payment for the item and then you try to work with GSP a bunch of red necks packing and lifting stuff.

Go to Ebay seller forum and ask,there are many veteran EBay sellers **bleep** and moaning daily,some of them use GSP.

you willbe protected from item not received if you ship to the GSP address in Erlinger ,Kentucky.

But GSP must get a valid shipping address from your buyer.

Same issue for us. We might get one order a week, have gotten 5 and 4 do not have an address so we refuned them. Seems unusual to get that many global sipping orders, throws up a red flag. Is this a fraudulant transaction issue, ebay or paypal?

from what I have heard,a paypal buyer can leave his shipping address blank,say if he uses his account to make payment for services,not products.

and there is nothing for the service provider to ship.

But with GSP,sellers need to ship to GSP,erlanger ,Kentucy t o get seller protection,so it really does not matter if buyer provideds a blank address or real address,seller would not need it anyway.

Question comes when buyer files item not received with  with Paypal,ebay seller should do some research and understand how GSP works .
