Someone purchased a toy from me in Sept. of 2017. They paid through paypal and I shipped USPS media mail however, I got notification from the PO that my package has been lost. I filed a complaint and search with the USPS but they sent me an email that my package was not recovered and the case was closed now. I know I need to refund the buyer for the cost, but she suggested that I might be able to get a refund from paypal as well. Is this the case? I did not print my label from paypal.

No, you refund the buyer and can only claim if you took out insurance iwth your postal service.
