I have had several e-mails purportedly from Paypal stating that I have sent payments to suppliers and I have no knowledge of these transactions. An example gave a transaction ID of O-9PS6878UKJ029915H and was supposed to be me making a payment of £144.00 to Abercrombie & Fitch (UK) Limited with a delivery address of Andrew Rowan. I know nothing of this and wish to query it with Paypal but there does not seem to be any easy way of contacting them directly. Anyone got any suggestions?

I am sure they are scams especially as they are asking me to click onto a tag if the transaction is not mine. Surely there ought to be a method of reporting such scams to Paypal?

Yes there is, send to spoof@paypal.com if you require confirmation but read this first........................
If its a spoof, DO NOT USE ANY LINK.
Firstly if the email addressed you as ''Dear Member'' / ''Customer'' / ''Client'' OR your ''email address'' then that confirms its a spoof as paypal would address you by your full name eg Dear John Smith.
Secondly if there was a link OR attachment in that email to ''cancel'' the transaction or ''confirm'' any details then again it would be a spoof.
If there was a problem with your account paypal would not ask you to click on an unsafe link in an email or by downloading an attachment, they would direct you to log in normally and go to the resolution or the message centre for more information.
