If someone donates to my PayPal for a charity, then disputes this charge after I deposited the money and gave to charity, am I protected at all? My account is now negative $4020. What if the person who donated was scamming me and used another persons credit/checking account to make the donation, will I still have to pay the negative charges on my PayPal account?

Yes, donations are protected by such disputes and claims but you must be using the PayPal's own 'Donate Now' button to be protected. Otherwise, it will be seen as a buy and sell transaction.
