Confirming receipt

Question - i just paid for an item, and the seller wants me to confirm receipt even though he hasnt' shipped the item yet.  He said this will make him get the money faster and be able to ship quicker.  Sounds like a scam to me as I've never been asked to do this before.  I'm assuming if I confirm receipt, I'm stating that I've already received the item and if he never ships it, ,I'm out of luck.  Correct?

why cant folks just go to a store and buy the item and take it home?

The item I ordered is a custom made item that isn’t available in stores. Was just looking for a little help...

Best you look for a more reputable seller?

Why why you allow an unknown seller hold you money to ship at some unknown date?

What will you do if the seller makes you a bad product?

What will you do if the seller holds your money for 4 months?

it does not matter whether you confirm ,if he never ship,you will file item not received and he has to prove delivery by uploading tracking.

he is jerking you around,he does not have money for shipping or not have the merchandise,just file item not received and get it over with,dont do business with him.
