A claims specialist is reviewing your case

 After sent back the parcel and give tracking number to the paypal resolution center, there is a status "A claim  specialist is reviewing".

I'd like to know this status is the part of refund process or some problems occur.

I'm afraid of the seller has some trick behind.

Does the tracking number show delivery of the item back to the seller yet?

Good luck trying to get someone on the phone at PayPal... I gave up! I think they work with the seller and don't care about the buyer. After I stared my dispute I have not received an update from paypal even tho I have tried every possible way, no luck. I never received my order and no idea about my refund. This is disappointing. I thought PayPal was a serious company. But the first time I asked for their assistance in resolving the one and only dispute I have filed in almost nine years as a customer and this is what I got.... Nothing! Basically I was robbed!

Is your dispute still open?

Have you escalated it to a claim?

If you have how long since you escalated?

Did you file a dispute for non receipt of item or another option?
