I am trying to sell a boat via Craig's list or a simplew classified ad (not via eBay).  Let's say that the purchase price is $10,000, for example. Do I  simply give the buyer my PayPal email address to effect payment of the purchase price? How can I be certain that the purchase price money has been irrevocably deposited into my PayPal account before transferring title to and possession of the boat?

My concern is the obvious scam emails received where the sender just wants to know my PayPal email address. Can this be used without the password ?

I'd also like to know the answer to this. I would be sending an invoice to a buyer and I'm curious to know how long it takes to confirm that the funds have been sucessfully transferred in to my PayPal account.
