problem with request

I sent a money request to my sister who was giving me a gift. I wanted to learn how to use request because I'm going to start selling online. It went thru but it thought I was selling her something and put a hold on money until shipping is confirmed and there is nothing to ship. What did I do wrong ? From what I read you should be able to request money. should we just fake shipping/recieving or is there another resolution? I called the 800 number but I dont think the girl understood my problem

You only "request money" or "send an invoice" if you are selling items.

If your sister wants to send you a gift then she should go to send money > family  / friends and use that option.
