Scam..? Virtual Goods.

I recently recieved a virtual good and would like to sell it, i got a buyer and now would like to know if what he's saying is true.

He says he payed extra for premium, so that when he sends the money - PayPal will freeze it until i show proof of purchase.
But if i dont, paypal will freeze the funds and he cant get it back. 

Does this add up? Does paypal really have a system in place for virtual items like this? A quick responce would be most appreciated as he's spamming me right now flaming about how he wants his item becauase the money he sent me is apperantly already sent (Pending) Thank you!

If the money he sent was pending it would show in your paypal account balance.

He is trying to scam you.

Paypal tell you never to send anything until the funds show in your paypal balance.

However selling virtual items is very risky as you have no seller protection and i have lost count of the number of times on here someone has sold one of them and then had a chargeback against them.

If you are going to sell it then accept cash only or direct bank transfer and don't send until the funds are in your hand or in your bank account.

If the payment isn't in your PayPal account, you haven't been paid.
