I'm not sure how long this email has been circulating but I didn't find any case in my account when I logged in (not using the link they provided of course).

Good call on not using the link provided. That's most likely what they want. I recently recieved an email. It was a reciept for a payment I never sent to someone I don't even know. While hovering over the links in the email, I noticed that none of the addresses went to paypal site. This is a good practice in general. Hover links before you click them and you can see the addresses in the status bar of your browser. It's always a good idea to repot such spam emails to paypal as they may find ways to eliminate or even prosecute the spammers involved. Also I noticed that the email had been sent to me and 9 other recipients. A real reciept would only come to one person.

I rec'd this today!! Note the date of the transaction. It was emailed to 11 people. Needless to say, I didn't click on any links.
