How do I change my password or my security questions?
Here's how to change either your password or your security questions, as long as you remember your current PayPal password:
These steps apply to UK Personal accounts. If you have a Business account, please log in to see the steps that apply to you.
- Log in to your PayPal account.
- Click the Settings icon near the top of the page.
- On the ‘Summary' page, click Security.
- Beside 'Password' or 'Security' click Edit.
- Enter your new password or security questions and answers, and click Save.
Never give your password to anyone and only log in to your account at www.paypal.com/uk
Below are some tips to create a strong password:
- We recommend that you don’t use a word you can find in a dictionary
- Do not use the same password that you use on other websites
- A strong password includes both capital and lower case letters, and also contains at least one number or special character (!, *, _, etc.).
