How do I change my password or my security questions?

Here's how to change either your password or your security questions, as long as you remember your current PayPal password:

These steps apply to UK Personal accounts. If you have a Business account, please log in to see the steps that apply to you.

1. Log in to your PayPal account.
2. Click the Settings icon near the top of the page.
3. On the ‘Summary' page, click Security.
4. Beside 'Password' or 'Security' click Edit.
5. Enter your new password or security questions and answers, and click Save.

Never give your password to anyone and only log in to your account at www.paypal.com/uk

Below are some tips to create a strong password:

• We recommend that you don’t use a word you can find in a dictionary
• Do not use the same password that you use on other websites
• A strong password includes both capital and lower case letters, and also contains at least one number or special character (!, *, _, etc.).
