I am selling an electronic on ebay. The buyer has paid but the transaction details on the website say its not elligible for seller protection. Also their address is unconfirmed yet the buyer has 100% positive feedback over three years. Should I contact paypal? Can I cancel the sale if this isn't resolved? Do I need special ebay and paypal accounts for protection? Im new at this, help appreciated.

What does PayPal indicate for the details of the transactions? OK to ship or not?
Buyer feedback doesn't give you any seller protection.
Are you shipping with a tracking number to the buyer?

It says OK to ship. Yes I would ship with a tracking number. Wow, You're right about feedback meaning nothing, I just read apparently sellers CAN'T leave negative feedback on a buyer, so this guy can have his army of bots leave pure positive feedback. I feel pretty uncomfortable now, can I cancel this sale without hassel?

Where did you find the "not elligible for seller protection", eBay or PayPal? It matters.
Could the non-protection be because ot the electronic item?
I think electronics for sale are high risk for the seller as the buyer may be unhappy with th item and claim it didn't work; buyer would win that claim as seller can't prove otherwise. Are your pictures of the item accurate? Did you omit a little detail about the item when you listed it? Is there any potential that you failed to provide sufficient details in the listing? None of this implies, however, that THIS particular buyer would be trouble.
I think eBay has rules about cancelling, like buyer and seller must agree. You should eBay's specific policies about not completing a sale.

Thanks for your help. Its on paypal I found the not eligible for protection. The item is my old iphone Im selling it as "for parts" and have been clear about its poor screen condition. I wondered if this was an issue as far as paypals policy goes but Ive looked through items not covered by the policy and saw nothing to indicate it was. In fact "As Is" is pretty black and white, I would think it would actually be less complicated.

Check on the details page of the PayPal transaction.
Assumuning you are in the U. S. and buyer is in U. S. , got to USPS.com and check address.
On internet browser do a search for the address (just type in browser search bar).
