From other users' posts and my own experience, I know that a large number of iPhone users have trouble plugging the PayPal Here card readers into their phone ports.  In most cases, your protective case has to be removed before PayPal Here will plug in properly.  Is there any plan to lengthen the PayPal Here plug just a bit to accomodate the phone cases?

I had same issue with an Android phone and I purchased a 3.5mm adapter (extension) cable. Can get them for under 5 bux.  I just plug the reader into the cable and the cable into the phone. I actually hold the reader in my hand when swiping. Works great. I guess you could apply the same idea to an IPhone.

This is a great idea, thank you for sharing.  What length of extension cable do you prefer?

I am using the 36" cable at the moment and not having any issues with the length

I was wondering a couple things. 1. I setup a product list on my iPad and then login to Paypal here hoping my product list would be synced with my iPhone or other mobile approved device but sadly this did not happen. Are there plans in the near future to be able to set up a Product List that is synced to any approved device once you login to the PayPal Here app? 2. I have wanted to use Paypal Here as a POS option. Will there be an update in the future that will give the end user inventory tracking capabilities? Charlie Ward Ceehilldesign

I need to be able to take credit cards payments and have never had a smart phone before, I went to my local AT&T store and told the salesman (Michael) what I wanted to do, my current cell phone is an old flip pone. The salesman suggested I keep my existing phone and just purchase the New Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 4g LTE, he said it would be able to take the PayPay Here credit card reader, and all I would need to do, is add a data plan to my existing plan.

Ok, sounds good, so I purchase Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 4g LTE, and a PayPay Here credit cards reader, then when I go on-line to get my $15 refund from PayPal and attempt to download the PayPal Here app, it says my device is NOT compatibly and will NOT download the PayPal Here app.

Great, I just purchased the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 4g LTE tablet and the PayPal card reader for NOTHING.

Why will the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 4g LTE NOT work with PayPal Here, and why does AT&T sales people NOT know it doesn't work?

Oh no! I hope someone responds because I just did the exact same thing! Went to the store, told them SPECIFICALLY I needed to run PayPal Here but couldn't spend the money for an iPad. The AT&T store suggested one of the Samsung Galaxy Tabs. I haven't gotten everything in yet, but I really hope this gets sorted out. 😞

I did a Google search and found this video by a guy who is showing the PayPal Here working on a Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, you have to SIDE LOAD the PayPal Here apk file (app), onto the Galaxy Tab 2, however I have NOT been able to find any place where I can download the PayPal Here apk file from.

The app store will NOT let me download the PayPal Here apk file because it says my device is NOT compatible.

Anyone know where (or how) I can get the PayPal Here apk file downloaded directly to my computer then transfer to my Galaxy Tab 2?

I AT&T saleman told me the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 would work with the PayPal Card reader, however after purchasing the tablet and the card reader, PayPal Here would NOT download the PayPal Here application onto my Galaxy Tab 2, when you try and download the app, it says DEVICE NOT COMPATIBLE, so I called PayPal and teh tech told me PayPal Here is NOT compatible with Android tablets at this time....

However there is a video on youtube showing it working if you side load the PayPal Here app onto the Galaxy Tab 2, I can't fins  way to download the app?

Search on youtube for: PayPal Here Review

And you will see the video.
