While the general release of this product has not yet begun, this thread is here for questions about the product. If you're in the initial limited release and have experience with the card reader, please feel free to ask or answer questions in this thread. If you got the scanner, you got more than I did!!!

I installed the card reader app on my Android  (compatible)  but when I get to the end after confirming everything I get a timed out message: "We're sorry our system has timed out. Please try again later."

Hello,

 

I received my PayPal Here reader and I've downloaded the app for my iPhone but when I log into the app on my phone, I get a message that reads "Your application for PayPal Here is under review.  There is no need to apply again.  We will be in contact with you by email within 48 hours with further instructions". 

 

I got this message in early July and I still get the message.  I have not received any emails.  Is there anything wrong? I'd love to start using my PayPal Here reader as soon as possible - I've heard such great things about and I'm anxious to try it out.

I am having this same issue as well.

 

I have my card reader.  Had it for a few weeks now.  However, anytime I go into the "PayPal Here" app, 

it still gives me the "your PayPal Here application is under review.." message.  

 

Forgot to add - my PayPal account shows 2 messages

1. "PayPal Here"  has been successfully added to my account.

2. A reserve limit has been applied to my account.  

 

Phone - Samsung Galaxy S 2

OS - Stock Touchwiz ICS 4.01

App - PayPal Here - Downloaded from Google Play.   Version is unknown. I am not able to see anything for version information.

This should be highlighted somewhere in a number of places.

 

if you have an android.  TURN ON THE GPS.  i have an EVO 3D.

 

that worked.

Hello,

 

I am a US resident and I am making a trip to Italy very soon where I will be providing services as well.  Since I have the PayPal Here app and card reader am I able to accept payments with PayPal Here while I'm in Italy?

I am curious to see if the new update (1.3.0) has helped any Galaxy S3 users?? Or any users for that matter!!

I have an LG-VS700 running Andriod 2.3.4.  I installed the PayPal App (v1.3.0) and it can read the card fine but when I signe and then hit "complete purchase" the app freezes and after waiting 30 seconds I get an error message saying it has stopped working and I have to "force" it to stop.  I have reinstalled the app 3-4 times, rebooted the phone, turned off blue tooth and turned the volume up and have full coverage.  I've also cleared the cache and data from the app, same issue.  The problem remains.  I've tried the reader on my iPad using the iPhone app and it works fine.

There is clearly a bug in the latest release and I'm loosing major sales this weekend as a result.  Can anyone help?!
