Mobile app is stuck in a loop

I have been using the mobile app on my tablet for years.  It is a Samsung galaxy tab 2 and is on the compatible list.  Its operating system is current.  recently updated. 

 

I bring it up the moble app and  worked on it for a bit checking balances etc.  and when I logged off it said I needed to update the software to the most recent version.  So I clicked the update button.  It took me to the update google play app and promptly told me my device was not compatable.  

 

Shut down the app.  did a cold start on my tablet,  and now  when I start up the mobile app it shows the message page to update the software.  And that is going to google play and the message that its not compatable.  and it remains not working.

 

How does this get fixed?
