Green Dot MoneyPak Issues

This is becoming a major issue.  Today I bought a Green Dot MoneyPak card and to add money to my paypal acct.,  All the steps go through with no problem until the last step where it verifies and gives tells you its loaded.  This is not the first time its happened and I'm tired of it.  I call Green Dot MoneyPak and they're not open which is ridiculous to have no way to talk to someone and emailed them...still waiting!   Called Paypal and they say theres no issue on their end.....

Anyone else having this issue???

Any tips for fixing the problem???

I would suggest if you need to put money into your pay pal account, just do it through your checking account. I know its going to take a few days, but its safe.  Because there have been a ton of problems with this company, so much that Walmart has stopped caring the cards.  Now when Walmart won't carry your product, something is major wrong!  I have heard of people putting money on the card & when they get home they have zero balance, or the card just won't work.

Wal-Mart has not only continued to carry GreenDot, they've expanded their relationship. They now offer GreenDot cards you can personalize with pictures of your family or dogs or whatever. Whole GreenDot line of NASCAR junk and Mossy Oak. They didn't do anything but pause while they brought in the Big Gun sponsors only WalMart can provide. They now have a full service ATM where you can add cash even immediately deposit Government checks to your account. You can also print Money Orders directly from whatever balance there is. WalMart will own GreenDot before long if they don't already.

I also bought a moneypak card today and again, i went thru all the steps without flaw until the verification page. the verification NEVER went thru.I called greendot and they were useless. Im trying to figure out how to get ahold of my money. I second the motion to complain and stop this nonsense of a business from ripping anyone else off.

The fact that ebay and paypal are endorsing the MoneyPak product is really bad .

I personally lost 2 grand to a IRS impersonation scam on  a busy workday and its the first time I heard GreenDot

Its a public company saying there is o way to trace the money

Huh what happened to AML compliance?

Is there a class action lawsuit for not following industry standards..like Visa Prepaid or any random card.

This is worst than bitcoin..

i too had that problem. the solution after trying 3 times- do what worked in the past. I closed internet Explorer and opened up Firefox. It went straight though without a hitch.

Its a miracle I tell ya!  Ok so I had soo much headaches from Greendot Moneypack that I decided to give the new paypal cash card a shot to add funds to my premium paypal account.  Guess what?  yep, same exact issue/error....Unable to load error 26.

And after 4 hours on the phone and a migraine and 4 PayPal Customer Service Reps - the last one discovered the problem.

The last PayPal customer service rep discovered the problem!!!!

On my account I had checked that I didn't want to receive funds from any unverified addresses/accounts so everytime the funds tried to load from Greendot Moneypack/Paypal cash card it was refusing it!

I'm extremely happy this is resolved.

However......I am curious as to why PayPal is considering 2 cards from their own affiliates as unverified addresses????

Whatever you do, DO NOT buy one of these Green Dot MoneyPak cards, because it absolutely will NOT load your money into your paypal account.  Now you have a useless Green Dot Card with your money stuck in limbo until you request a refund (7 to 10 days it takes).  Why go through the hassle of all that!  NEVER AGAIN!

Don't ever use green dot or paypal pre-paid if you don't want your money stolen.
