BML Denial - WHY?

I would really like to know WHY i keep getting denied just opening a BML account with PayPal.

There is NO PLACE to get an answer. I am probably going to head to te Facebook page and complain there, like someone suggested in an archived message.

I am NOT a kid.

I am 48. I have a great credit history. I own my own home.

I am not even trying to BUY anything - I just keep getting the offers in email from PayPal - so, I apply - I do buy things online, and the $10 off is a nice offer.

Seems like they are just handing this BML to every 18 yr old on eBay...yet an established adult can't get this?

REALLY?

The message I get: "We're sorry, but we can't link your accounts at this time based on the information you have provided" makes NO sense. How about providing an explanation for this PayPal??? Isn't it a LAW - that you have to tell a person why you are denying them credit?

Lori

If I don't hear something in 48 hours, the standard amount of time in business that a professional should respond to an inquiry, then I am off to social media!! Perhaps the kiddies are right and this BML thing IS a SCAM!!!!

Welcome to the Community!

The PayPal Community Help Forum is a venue for members to assist other members, and is not an avenue to reach customer service.  If you require immediate assistance, assistance directly from PayPal, or account specific information, please contact customer service.  As your inquiry is specific to your account, neither a PayPal staff member nor another customer would be able to directly advise you on the reason why your Bill Me Later application is specifically being denied.  For more information on how the PayPal Community Help Forums work, please see the Community Guide.

That being said, the error message you are receiving suggests that Bill Me Later is encountering an issue verifying your important personal information.  I would recommend ensuring your home address, home phone number, and name are registered accurately on PayPal and in your application and are up to date.  It's also possible a credit reporting agency has incorrect informatoin on file for you.  Sometimes, a minor deviation can mean the difference between the information being verified and being unverifiable.

There are several possible reasons for a denial, and you should have received an email that gave you the reason. If you did not open the email or receive the email, you will receive a letter in the mail that provides a reason for the denial.

For further information please contact Bill Me Later directly.

Sincerely,

Adrian
