I have a pending echeck that was sent to me. When will I actually have the money?

When it has processed from the buyers bank to paypal.

Will it just show up in my balance or do I need to do something to get it?

When it clears it will show up.

When a buyer normally pays a seller it is never instant > paypal credit the seller and paypal take the wait for the funds to transfer.

HOWEVER they only take that risk if the buyer has a back up card linked to their paypal account as well otherwise an echeque is sent and you have to take the wait for it to clear.
