Withdrawing money in GPB instead of EUR

Hi everyone,

I've recently added a new VISA card to my account. Unlike my former card that was in my local currency, Bulgarian LEV (BGN) my new card is in GBP. However, when I try to withdraw money, PayPal automatically makes currency conversion into EUR. I had a conversation over the phone with PayPal and they advised me that my Country (Bulgaria) and all the Countries from the European Union can receive money only in EUR or Local Currency (Recently, I have read a few articles here in the community with similar issues but with different Currency, USD for example and all of them were solved). Anyway, I'd like to hear what you have to say about this.

you can keep it as GBP in your Paypal account by adding GBP as acceptable currency in your Paypal profile, but when you want to transfer to a card or bank,Paypal will convert it to your local currency and charge you 3% plus appropriate exchange rate.

what would your card issuer do?convert it back to GBP?

IT IS BETTER FOR YOU TO USE A DIFFERENT CARD IN EURO OR LOCAL CURRENCY
