Unauthorized transaction

So I have an unauthorized purchase taken out of my bank account. I did not have a paypal account before today. Does anyone have any info on how I can speak directly to paypal instead of going through all the automated bull crap. Thanks

Was the amount for a small amount of money?

Only if you have recently added a bank account or card then there should be a code to verify that bank account / code and that is what the payment is.

Once the code is entered you are refunded.

It was for a couple hundred dollars. I haven’t added any card to PayPal.

If the transaction is showing in your paypal account then click on it and use the resolve a problem link at the bottom to report as unauthorised then.

If its not then give customer services a call.

 

Click on the words "Help / Contact" at the bottom of paypals pages and use the phone option in the blue band at the top. Log in and get the code.
When you get through don't select any options just hang on till you get transfered to an agent OR just press 0.
