Unable to send money to Friends and Family using Bank Account in the Mobile App

Hello,
I used to be able to send funds through the mobile app with my bank account. Now when I go to send funds this way, it only wants to use my card and I am unable to switch it to my bank account. How can I get this corrected and why did this happen? I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app thinking it was an issue with it. But that did not work.

I am not only having this issue using the PayPal App, but also using the PayPal website on my desktop PC. My bank account has long-since been verified, so that's not the issue. And, even though PayPal states that it defaults to using the bank account when sending money to friends or family within the U.S., in an effort to resolve this issue I went in and completely deleted/removed the debit card that I had on file as well. This way the only option available is my bank account. After entering the amount to send, etc., it asked me to enter card information to continue with the transaction. I called PayPal customer service a few minutes ago (2:10 PM EST). After entering my temporary passcode, a few prompts, etc., it said the system was experiencing problems and then disconnected. That's when I found this topic. As such, my only options at this point appear to be to use a different company to send this money (e.g., Google Wallet, Venmo, etc.) or bite the bullet and pay the fee for using my debit card. That strikes me as a bit scammy, so I guess I will try Google Wallet.

I am having the exact same issue on the app. It automatically charged my credit card and I got stuck with the fee. So, I deleted the credit card and now it says I don't have a way to send money even though I have two linked and confirmed bank account. It is just the app, I can still send money from my bank account when I log on-line. I tried deleting the app and re-installing. That did not work. Have any of the other users that were having this problem found a solution?
