People sending money the wrong way

I have a group of almost 100 friends that are sending me $50 for a money pool we are creating. I have told them all to send me the money using the 'Send money to friends and family in the US' option, but invariably there are those few who send it 'Pay for Goods and Services'.  I end up paying a fee for when people send it the wrong way.  Is there a way to change the payment type after they have sent the money?  If I refund the money and have them send it the wrong way, there is a fee for that as well.

Do I have any options?

Thanks

The sender controls how money is sent, not the recipient.

You can refund the goods/services, but the $0.30 feel will not be reversed.

Senders might be using goods/services for their own protection so they can file a dispute for item not received if they are unhappy with the pool results.

Make sure what you are doing fully complies with PayPal acceptable use policies or you can have your  account limited.

If a family member or friend sends you the money and a fee was incurred (but shouldn't have) is there any way to dispute it and get the money back?

No, you cannot dispute a fee.  A fee is charged for goods/services.

You can refund all to sender; you will have net cost of $0.30.  If you are unhappy with that, just get it from the sender who made the error in the first place.
