I know this has been asked many times. But why doesn't pay after delivery show up as an option? I have searched and read many posts about this issue. But I haven't found a solid answer other than it only random shows up or whatever. My account is verified and linked to my bank account. I do have it set as my preferred payment option but I don't see it when I try to checkout on an ebay item. Anyways I'd rather not deal with customer service if it's just going to be a hassle, so hopefully someone can help me out here. Thanks...

This is a response I saw when I clicked something saying "Why don't I see other payment methods" or something like that.
"
We're sorry, some of your payment methods are unavailable for this purchase.
Unavailable payment methods:
To help protect our members against fraud, we review every transaction and may block a payment method when we see a potential risk. Although our fraud measures occasionally block a legitimate payment, to maintain overall security, we don't overturn any decisions about an individual transaction."
BUT when I emailed paypal... they fed me the same bull that the item I was trying to purchase is not included in PAD or the seller doesnt offer it. or blah blah blah.

Gah, same here. Used it in last few monts to buy £900 worth of Olympus camera equipment, £1000 D800, £650 Macbook, £200 Apple Watch most recently in last few days.
About to buy a Macbook Pro there, and the blooming option isn't there, so I now have to put my Macbook air on sale sharpish, and hope that gets a really quick sale.... Gonna ring PayPal tomorrow regardless.

Just phoned Paypal, and he contradicted himself through the call. At some times saying the seller can choose to offer this, or not, and other times saying it's not something they can decide to offer. He seemed to get confused between buyer and seller options.
I added a Macbook Pro into my basket with a different eBay seller, and that gives the Pay After Delivery option, but it's not the Macbook I want!!
Gonna have to pass on the blooming Macbook Pro I want until the Macbook Air get's sold now....

Well, here I am again. Our bank had a glitch earlier in the week and coughed back a $1.79 transaction and now I don't have Pay After Delivery on ANY account. I have called twice. They tell me what a "loyal customer" I am since we have been with them since they opened but they give me nothing but ***bleep***canned responses and never transfer me to a department that can actually help. I am sick of it. I am so sick of this happening. They even removed my bank account!!!!!!! For $1.79!!!!!!!! And now I am stuck with things I can't pay. That's just marvelous. We have and do process THOUSANDS of transactions with PayPal and this is how we get treated every time there is a glitch. I don't know why I even bother complaining here. It won't get fixed. The BS I got yesterday was that we have "too many" PAD transactions right now. That's funny because we've have more than this many times and never had a problem. Just another canned response. And they wonder why they are continuing to lose customers.

Welp. Now my option is gone. Used it all the time until about a month ago when the option diappeared. All my payments cleared on time and I have 100% positve feedback. What a shame! I felt it was an awesome feature that gave me piece-of-mind when purchasing used items.

Hi,
Have any of you experienced Pay on Delivery working for a vendor one day, then not working the next day? I have been seeing this happening for months.
I have made zero changes to my payment methods, cards or bank account. One day I can purchase something from a vendor on eBay and pay after delivery works fine. I then by something the next day or week and pay after delivery is not working.
I have also found a stranger scenario. I have tried purchasing item from eBay on my Mac and will not get the pay after delivery option. I then move the item to save for later on Mac. Next I log into eBay on iPhone. Add item back to cart and now get option to pay after delivery.
I have been unable to make 0 of 21 purchases from eBay on Mac with option Pay after Delivery. I have been able to purchase all 21 items on iPhone using pay after delivery.
This is whacked.

Funny story.
I just had a purchase and wasn't able to PAD on my browser, but I could via mobil browser. Super weird. I always use it.
This feature needs to be on permenantly for qualified users or off for unqualified. This switching back and forth, on for mobile off for browser, stuff is getting pretty old.
Please fix ebay.
