In ths grand age of computers why the **bleep** does it take a full week to clear an echeck?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's all instantaneous bank computer transfers and this HOLD is ridiculous!
I need the funds for the work I did and I have to wait a week because- of what? Someone wants to hold on to my money and use it for a week before I get it? Then it takes 3 days to transfer out of paypal to my bank account!
TWO WEEKS basically just to get my money in this FAST age of computers.
Paypal uses electronic and not wire transfer so it takes 3-4 days.
But when you PAY they credit the seller for you and paypal take the wait for you funds to transfer from your bank account.
That is why we get confused buyers on here saying there payment is completed and item on the way but funds not left their bank account yet.
BUT if the person sending the money does not have a back up card linked to their paypal account to reduce risk then its you that has to take the wait for the funds to clear and not paypal.

When you finally see the payment in your account and you dontw ant to transfer to your bank account,get a Paypal business debit card and go to a Bank ATM and withdraw up to 400 daily.
go to your paypal profile and set the withdrawal limits,max is 400 a day.
if you want it faster,next time ask your client to do ACH,give him your bank routing and account number,it would still take days but faster than Paypal.
or ask him to mail you a check and you can go to the issuing bank and cash it with ID,it helps if you also have an account there.
domestic wiretransfer is next day,but it would cost your client $25-$35.unless y ou want to pick up the tab.
