Cannot Link Bank

Hi!

Ok so I had my bank linked to my old paypal account which I deleted several days ago without unlinking my bank account (I assumed deleting it would do that automatically?) and now I still can't link it to my new account!

I'm sure the info is correct; I just keep getting the error message that says "you can't link this bank to multiple accounts".

I got a confirmation email that my old account was deleted so it's definetly gone.

Also, my bank has NOT been linked to more than three accounts, so it's not that either. 

How to I get paypal to recognize that my bank account is not linked to any existing account???

Your bank account is still linked to your closed account.  You should have removed the bank account before deleting the account.  You could phone PayPal support to see if they can fix it; I don't know if anyone has been success or not to removed a bank acocunt from a closed PayPal account.
