About 'Pending money'

I just placed an order online and the buyer said I placed a wrong order. They did not receive any money right now. But my account shows that my money is still pending. How long will it take for my money come back if it is always uncompleted? I am really nervous about my money and hope it will come back to my account as soon as possible.

What do you mean the 'buyer' placed the wrong order? I thought you were the buyer and if so how can you place a wrong order?

Was it an Ebay or paypal private sale?

If its pending in your paypal account then does it say unclaimed when you click on it and if so is there a cancel option?

I am not the buyer and I buy something online. The seller is a company. Maybe the solution will be different from the situation when I am the seller.

Also, there is no cancellation button on my page. I see the helping center and they say just cancel. But I can't find it anywhere. It seems like uncompleted order with pending money and the seller didn't get the money, I didn't receive my order.
