"Your payment is being processed by PayPal" but has been successfully completed?!

Hello dear PayPal'ers,

I've recently purchased a product over ebay which got transfered, but is showing as a sand-clock icon instead of the Dollar-sign (for paid). Now I have looked through your forums , but I couldn't find cases which are like the one I'm dealing with.

Problem:

- The money has been transfered to the Seller (I've got the confirmation from PayPal via eMail and as "transaction completed" in my PayPal history.

- in my eBay User Account it shows up as not being paid and still under processing(!).

Facts:

- I have over 73 positive transactions (100%) and been with ebay since a while now.

- Seller's email hasn't changed and is still the same as before

- Seller's PayPal account is verified

- Seller is around since quite some time and has great reputation speaking for him/herself.

- The Money is sent and shows as paid on my bank statements

I know from what I've read in half-way similar "your payment is being processed"-cases that this is not going to lead somewhere.

What is the best approach to recover the money which just disappeared?

I was thinking about a "unauthorised transaction case" , since it is very much like that.

I have a similar problem. 

I've just won an auction on ebay and paid a lot of money for a smartphone through paypal. It came up as "being processed" on my ebay, but says the transaction has completed on paypal.

What do I do? Has the seller received my payment? Will they still ship my order?

from my experience, within 24 hours the icon will change to "paid" and the seller will react. it is weird, but apparently nothing you can do about it. the biggest let down is, that everything will be delayed at least one day 😕 cheers

It **bleep**. I've been an ebayer for a while now and this has never happened before, even with big similar payments.

Hoping you're right. I wouldn't be this worried if it wasn't such a big transaction but because it is I don't want to lose any money 😕

So what the status of the payments? In my experience this has happened to me twice and both times because the seller has not been verified. Even after 24 hours nothing changes. You might want to check with seller if this happens.
