how do I stop annual payments for antivirus software?

I paid to renew my AVG antivirus software with PayPal and received a message that if I didn't want to automatically make future payments, I have to make a change on my account. Otherwise every year PayPal would pay automatically. I emphatically do not want that, but do not know how to make the necessary change. Help!

Here’s how to cancel a subscription or recurring payment:

Paypal summary page > profile (spanner looking icon next to log out) > bottom right paypal settings > pre-approved payments.

Oh and just for your info i have AVG as well and it was on a recurring payment but not via paypal.

I clicked on help on the pop up box on my computer and accessed their live chat option and they will cancel it straight away for you.
